grant thorp was established in 1998 as an independent design consultancy for the workplace.

We are appointed by the client as design consultants, or as part of a project team, and work with them to develop the design brief, looking at the office environment from an overall perspective.

We provide a smooth line of communication between the client, other consultants, contractors and suppliers on the project.

We ensure the best possible value for the client from the design specifications we produce.

Our philosophy is that design must work on a very practical level – easy to maintain and beautiful to look at. We are committed to using products and materials that demonstrate sustainable use of resources, recyclable components and that are supplied by companies with responsible environmental policies in place.

High quality specification results in longevity of service, and clean simple solutions result in a pleasing and stimulating environment. Accent colours are used in areas that are easy to change. The client can emphasise their corporate image and place in the market with a creatively designed office.
